Baby Ryan Rockwell
Born 8:16:30 PM, 15 December 2006, La Jolla, California. 8 pounds, 12.2 ounces (3,975g). 20" (51 cm). The technical gobbledygook after each shot is the equipment I used for each photo. Many photographer friends ask. 31 December 2008, Wednesday Ryan napping on our way to Sea World. (Nikon D40, Tamron 10-24mm at 24mm, f/4.5 at 1/125, auto ISO chose ISO 200.)

He also usually says WEE WEE!!! when he wants to go.

04 December 2008, Thursday Ryan woke up, stood up in bed, pointed to his baby butt, and said Poo Poo! Yay! the poo-poo fairy had come! Ryan also learned this morning to say Green and to say Blue.
01 December 2008, Monday Ryan and Katie start playing with each other. It's baby wrestling time! Ryan laughs when baby Katie grabs his hair, and Ryan hugs and crawls all over katie. They both love it.
27 November 2008, Thanksgiving Day We went to visit Noni and Pops in Palm Desert, California. Ryan loves to play engineer of the Christmas Train at Noni and Pop's. (Nikon D40, 18-55mm lens.)
Ryan can still fit under Noni's glass table. (Nikon D40, 18-55mm lens.)
Pops, Katie, Noni and Ryan pose for Christmas cards. I shot this with my two-year-old Nikon D40 and 18-55mm lens at 46mm, my SB-400 flash at manual half-power with a Roscoe 1/2 CTO gel tapd over it (to make the fill light warmer), and set the exposure manually at 1/500 at f/7.1. I used manual settings to kep things from wandering around from shot-to-shot, and also to make it easier if I need to cut and paste faces for the best expressions.
Busted! Ryan loves any sort of stuffed or real bird. He calls them "guck-gahs," and if you mention a word like "penguin," Ryan responds with an excited "Guck Gah!" Here were were shopping the sales at Walgreens, and Ryan stocked up by grabbing every guck gah he could. (Casio EX-V8)

Ryan running away with booty: daddy's screwdriver. All I usually show are photos taken in the few instants that Ryan holds still. Most of the time, we're spending our time chasing him and trying to get whatever he's about to kill himself with out of his hands. This is typical. He does know how to use the screwdriver to change batteries in his toys. (Canon SD880)
26 October 2008, Sunday At Noni's. (Nikon D40, 18-55mm kit lens and SB-400 flash) Ryan plays catch with a candy cane. (Nikon D40, 18-55mm kit lens and SB-400 flash. I should have remembered to use REAR sync so the candy cane would look like its flying away from Ryan, which it is.)
