Baby Ryan Rockwell
Born 8:16:30 PM, 15 December 2006, La Jolla, California. 8 pounds, 12.2 ounces (3,975g). 20" (51 cm). The technical gobbledygook after each shot is the equipment I used for each photo. Many photographer friends ask. 31 December 2009, Thursday Ryan's first run at Legoland's Volvo Driver's School. He passed! (1952 LEICA IIIf, 1957 LEICA SUMMICRON 50mm f/2 collapsible, 2008 B+W MRC 39mm 81A, f/5 at 1/100, 2.2 meters, 2007 Gossen Digisix meter, Fuji Velvia 50, NCPS process and scan.)
15 December 2009, Tuesday Ryan's Third Birthday. Candles - Yay! Even last night when I told Ryan that tomorrow was his birthday, he started blowing in my face! Ryan was so excited at dawn this morning that we already started celebrating long before anyone else was up. (Panasonic PV-GS120 video still, manual WB set to daylight.)
Blowing out the candles. Ryan liked this so much he had us keep relighting them for us. (Panasonic PV-GS120 video still, manual WB set to daylight.)
Yay! POLAR EXPRESS!!! Ryan was going to get this Polar Express train set from Santa for Christmas, but since he kept asking us about it for his birthday, we gave it to him for his birthday today. (Nikon D3, 50/1.4 AFS, Auto ISO and Program mode chose 1/125 at f/2 at ISO 200, STANDARD with +1 saturation picture control, AUTO A4 WB.) Hear Ryan's excitement. (recorded with the audio note-taking feature of the Nikon D3.)
Ryan LOVES his train. He is so excited that he really does make all these facial expressions. (this and the rest of the photos: Nikon D3, 50/1.4 AFS, Traditional RealRaw Nikon SB-30 flash in dimmest Auto mode (2.8 @ ISO 100), -1/2 stop flash compensation set on flash, Auto ISO and Program mode chose 1/60 at f/5.6 at ISO 200, STANDARD with +1 saturation picture control, AUTO A4 WB.)
01 December 2009, Tuesday Ryan's televison message from Santa!!! (.MOV video file).
Ryan and Santa. Ryan asked for a choo-choo train and a doo-dah truck. A doo-dah truck is a construction truck, so named because it works in doo-dah. Doo-dah is the babies' name for garbage, derived from the Spanish "basura." Ryan also asked for plenty of candy for his sister Katie.
