Focal Length: 28-70mm. Used on a DX camera it gives angles of view similar to what a 43-107mm lens would give on an FX or 35mm film camera. See also Crop Factor.

Filters: 39mm in drop-in holder. Nikon part number for NC filter (only): 2478NASI

Caps: Fake leather front sock, stiff front.

Case: CL-61A tube.

1976-77 ED-IF non-AI, world's fastest 400mm. (made 23). glossy bloack

1977-1982: AI, made 3,500

1982-2005 AI-s, made 8,000.
