How to get one

Lateral Chromatic Aberration (LCA) (What is LCA?)

LCA is called "purple fringing" by hobbyists.

The Nikon 18-200mm is free from visible LCA except at the very ends of the zoom range.

You can fix it with PhotoShop CS2's Lens Correction Filter.

18 mm: Moderate. Try a setting of +10 to +14 under "Red/Cyan" in CS2's Lens Correction Filter. Also try +5 for Red/Cyan and -6 for Blue/Yellow or just -12 for Blue/Yellow. See what works for you.

24 mm: Minimal. Leave it alone, or set Blue/Yellow to -5.

35 mm: None.

50 mm: None.

70 mm: None.

105 mm: None.

135 mm: None.

200 mm: Negligible secondary (green/magenta). Leave it alone or try +7 under Blue/Yellow.
